Carbon steel seamless pipe is the most widely used pipe for pressure and process piping. ASTM A106 Grade B is specified for high temperature service in refineries, power plants and steam lines, while ASTM A53 Grade B suits general pressure, water and mechanical applications. Because the pipe has no seam, it holds pressure evenly along its full length.

Ask usWhat is the difference between ASTM A106 and ASTM A53 seamless pipe?
ASTM A106 covers seamless carbon steel pipe for high temperature service and has tighter chemistry and testing requirements. ASTM A53 covers pipe for general pressure and mechanical use and also includes welded types. For high temperature or critical pressure lines, A106 Grade B is normally specified.
Which pipe schedules are available?
Common schedules include SCH 20, 40, 80 and 160, plus XS and XXS. Tell us the outside diameter and wall thickness you need and we will confirm availability.
Can the pipes be supplied with coating or bevelled ends?
Yes. Black, varnished and anti-corrosion coated finishes are available, as are plain, bevelled and threaded ends on request.
